Dienste aan mede skrywers / Services to fellow authors:
As gevestigde skrywer wat meestal my eie dinge doen, word ek van tyd tot tyd gekontak deur anders krywers wie graag hul eie boeke wil publiseer, maar wat afgeskrik word weens die astronomiese pryse wat sommige mense vir die dienste vra. Ons help graag. Maar ek moet ongelukkig ophou skryf as ekander skrywers moet help, en ek het net soveel tyd om per dag af te staan. Sagteware is duur en dit moet van tyd tot tyd opgradeer word. Ons vra die minimum fooi om by te dra tot die groot onkoste van sagteware.
As an established author who mostly do my own thing, I am from time to time asked to assist other authors, who would like to publish their own books, but they are frightened off by the astronomically high prices for those services. We will gladly assist. Unfortunately I have to stop write when I assist another author. I have only so much time a day that I can write. Software is expensive and it must be upgraded from time to time. We ask the minimum fee to contribute to the great cost of software.
Omslae / Voorblaaie / Covers / Front pages:

Voorblaaie, rugkante en agterblaaie word ontwerp deur gebruik te maak van die bronne wat die koper self verskaf, waarvan die koper die kopiereg het of wettig verkry het. U kan net die voorblad neem vir eBoeke of die volle pakket vir gedrukte boeke.
Ons sal die produkte elektronies lewer teen 2 000 x 3 000 pixels en teen 300 dpi minimum, of groter in dien verkies. Ten opsigte van die rugkant moet ons die grootte van die boek weet, hoeveel bladsye die boek bevat, en die dikte van die papier. Ten opsigte van die agterblad benodig ons die skrywer se foto (opsioneel), ISBN nommer (Ons sal die strepieskode verwerk) die boek se opsomming (waaroor die boek gaan), asook die drukker se embleem(e).
Ons behou die reg voor om dit op die agterblad te mag meld dat die blad deur ons ontwerp is, en vereis dat dit voor in die boek vermeld word. Ons behou nie die kopiereg op die ontwerp nie. Dit sal aan die koper behoort.
Cover pages, spines and back pages are designed by making use of source documents supplied by the buyer, of which the buyer must own the copyrights or obtained it legally. You can order the front page alone, for eBooks, or the spine and back page as well for printed books.
We will deliver the products electronically at 2 000 x 3 000 pixels and 300 dpi minimum, or larger if requested. For the spine we must know the book size, how many pages the book is and what thickness of paper will be used. For the back page we need the blurb (summary), the authors photograph (optional), ISBN number (we will design the bar code), as well as the publisher’s emblem(s).
We reserve the right to quote on the back page that the page was designed by us and also that the fact be quoted in front of the book. We do not reserve the copyright of the cover. That will be the copyright property of the buyer.

eBoekverwerking / eBook formatting

By ontvangs van u manuskrip in doc, doc, of rtf formaat sal ons dit vir u verwerk na eBoek formaat in mobi of epub formaat. Hierdie dokument sal deur die groot boekhandelaars aanvaar word. Die voorblad of ander fotos sal ingevoeg word indien versoek. Gelykheid aan kante (“Justification”) word nie ingesluit nie, tensy dit outomaties moontlik is. Dit moet deur u gedoen word. Skakels na web adresse sal ook werkend wees in die eindproduk. Speltoets en redigering moet reeds gedoen wees. Die ISBN of ASIN nommer moet reeds bekend wees as u dit by die boek wil insluit.
Wanneer u op ‘n latere stadium ‘n paragraaf van die boek wil verander of ‘n ander omslag wil gebruik, sal dit teen minimale onkoste wees as u die bron dokument hou, wat ons aan u sal voorsien na die werk voltooi is. Ons verander nie eboeke deur ander mense geformateer nie, tensy ons die brondokument kan kry in ons formaat.
Versoeke buite hierdie omskrywing sal oorweeg word.
After receipt of your manuscript in doc, docx or rtf format, we will process the document to an eBook format as mobi or epub. This format will be accepted by the large book retailers. The front page or any other photos will be included if requested. Justification on the sides are not included, unless automatic justification is possible. It must be done beforehand by you. Links to web addresses will be active and working. Spell checking and reviewing must be completed beforehand. The ISBN or ASIN number must be known if you want that to be included in the eBook.
When you want a paragraph to be added or changed at a later stage, or want to change the book’s cover, it can be done at minimal cost if you supply the source file that we will provide after completion of the work. We do not edit eBooks compiled by other persons, unless we can get the source file in our format.
Requests outside this scope will be considered.

By ontvangs van u voorblad foto kan ons vir u ‘n 3D foto van die boek opmaak, geskik vir gebruik op sosiale media of op u webblad, sonder dat die boek al gedruk is. Sien die voorbeelde hier onder.
After receipt of you front page photo, we can make up a mock-up of a 3D book that you can use on social media or on your web page. I is not necessary to wait for your book to be printed first. Look at the examples below.
